Lemon Verbena, or aloysia citrodora, is an herb native to western South America. It is commonly used for cooking and for certain tea blends because of its lemony scent and flavor. It was brought to Europe by the Spanish and the Portuguese in the 17th century and cultivated for its oils: citral (30–35%), nerol and geraniol, which impart a lemony aromatic and sweet flavor to the plants and fruits they are found in.
In the candle world, lemon verbena is one of the top selling scents in the U.S. Our Lemon Verbena candle will make your home smell AMAZING, with aromas of freshly baked lemon cookies and slight herbal undertones. (Warning: probably don't eat it. Wax doesn't process well in the digestive system...)
